Hi, i am looking for a part-time work that is based in SG.
My target is to start an engagement sometime in April to June of 2018.
Part-time in the sense of:
- Flexible work schedule
- Outcome based tasks
- Tasks i can achieve mostly by myself
- Low collaboration with others
- Has no people reporting to
- Amount of work, in the range of 1 to 2 days per week
- On-demand kind of working style
- Work from anywhere (though having an office to visit sometimes is ok)
The type of work i can do, can be any of the following:
- Software project management, or review, or oversight
- Architectural review and design
- Tech strategy evaluation and crafting
- Pair coding or coding review
- Coding work for new functions (backend, data, devops)
I can do a fair bit of anything with regards to creating software. I also work with people, or leadership, or management, or clients, or partners, or wherever you need someone with experience to do something for your software business. And that something might not make sense to have full-time, and that having an in-experienced person might be risky.
There’s no need to manage me, since i can do it by myself. And no need to worry if i’ll run out of task, i can discover it for you, and may even bother you with things you might have overlooked.
My intention is to be able to visit SG for longer periods of time, of about 1 week per month. I still want to be based in Cebu for most of the time, since my family is here and also cost of living is lower.
The reason behind this, is i want to increase my exposure to the SG startup, software engineering, and technology community.
I am looking at around 2k SGD to 3k SGD monthly income from this. Preferably, short-term, 3-month contract based, renewable every quarter thereafter.
I don’t need a visa sponsorship, since SG allows visa-on-arrival for up to 30 days by Philippines passport holder.
There’s no need to employ me, since i have a legally registered business entity based in the Philippines. So we can enter into a service contract, and i can issue payment receipts, which you can use as documentation for your expense. I have to charge 12% VAT though, so that sucks.
I understand, i can take other work not based in SG, and i am doing that. However, i feel having an SG-based engagement, will give me that extra reason to really be in SG. I feel, if otherwise, i might not be able to push myself to regularly travel there.
